Important Document Tips
MyVRH allows property owners to enter their RENTAL AGREEMENT and CANCELLATION POLICY into the system.
Then the system will display them or link to them for guest to access and review.

Guest MUST AGREE to the RENTAL AGREEMENT and CANCELLATION POLICY before reserving.

Rental Agreement

Make sure to include the following points:

 

Arrow2 Contact information and the address of the rental property

Arrow2 Maximum occupancy and age restrictions

Arrow2 Total cost, including all taxes and fees

Arrow2 Payment schedule breakdown for deposit and rental payments

Arrow2 Check-in and check-out dates and times

Arrow2 Pet and smoking policies and restrictions

Arrow2 Check-out policy

    bullet A check-out check list is a good idea

Cancellation Policy

Make sure to include the following points:

 

Arrow2 Deadline for cancellation

    bullet How manay days before arrival the guest must cancel in order to avoid penalties

Arrow2 Penalties for cancellation

    bullet How manay days before arrival the deposit will be charged

    bullet How manay days before arrival the full amount will be charged

If you are collecting SECURITY DEPOSIT or offering DAMAGE INSURANCE make sure to outline
the process clearly in your AGREEMENT.

Security Deposits

Basic Guidelines to follow:


Arrow2 Security deposits are standard procedure

    bullet Usually $200 or 10% of the total rental

Arrow2 Process all deposits right away.

    bullet Cash checks immediately to make sure the funds are available.

    bullet A bounced check is a sign of trouble.

Arrow2 Only return deposits after inspecting for damage. 

Arrow2 Be sure to comply with laws governing how deposits are held.

    bullet Some states require holding deposit funds in a separate,

        interest-bearing escrow account.

Arrow2 Be sure to inform guests about your deposit refund policy

Arrow2 Return deposits in a timely manner

Damage Insurance

Damage Insurance eliminates the SECURITY DEPOSIT headaches
